What we collect

When you browse the site. Our website platform, Squarespace, automatically collects limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you visit and how you arrived at the site. We use this to understand how the site is used and to keep it secure.
We do not collect sensitive personal information, and we never sell your data.
Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss working together. This is based on our legitimate interest in replying to you, or on steps taken at your request before a possible contract.
To run and improve the website. This is based on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working well.
To measure site traffic through analytics cookies, only with your consent.
Cookies
The site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function, and, with your consent, analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use it. You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies through the banner when you first visit, and change your choice at any time in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
Contact enquiries: up to 3 years after our last exchange, unless we go on to work together.
Client information: for the length of our working relationship, then as long as required by law (for example, for accounting purposes).
Analytics cookies: up to 13 months.
Who can see it
Your information is only accessible to Carolyn.Paris and to the service providers we rely on to run our business, under contract and only for the purposes described here:
Squarespace, which hosts this website
Google Workspace, which we use for email
Some of these providers may store data outside the European Union, notably in the United States. Where this happens, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
access the personal information we hold about you
correct it if it’s inaccurate
ask us to delete it
object to or restrict how we use it
receive it in a portable format
withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To exercise any of these rights, email ck@carolyn.paris. We will reply within one month.
